Extra Chain and Cord

Extra step

So the cord and chain were the length I ordered and the cord was just longer on the fixture, which makes sense. But for some reason the extra chain was separate from the standard length and had to be attached to be used. I guess I was confused as to why you wouldn’t just send one piece of chain in the length ordered. But maybe other folks know something I don’t and there’s a good reason for this.
