Black Epoxy Primer

I discussed my project with the technical department and was told to use this primer as I'm painting this car for a friend and he only wanted it primed like we did back in the old hot rod days. As it turned out, we primed and painted it with the Hot Rod Black Flatz paint. The technical department advised I could use this primer as a primer/sealer reducing it 25% and to spray it, wait 30-60 minutes and apply the paint right over it. Worked fantastic. It's thick when first opened, I figure due to the epoxy, but it just took some stirring. Follow the directions per the technical data sheet and it was great. All of the people I talked to at TCP Global were courteous and very informative. I'll keep buying from you. Delivery time was great.

Excellent coverage. Nice flow.

I used a 1.4 tip and it sprayed nicely. The solids were fairly hard to stir and took several minutes but patience prevailed and I got it mixed. One quart (2 quarts sprayable) did two wet coats on a wagon roof, both rear quarters, tailgate and door jams, rockers, and cowl area. A 1.7 tip might have allowed quicker transfer but I don’t have much skill yet, so slower delivery helped me.
