A Cure for Rover P6 Headlamp Fuse Problems

The fuses are much cooler with the LED lamps. Ambient temp 18 and the headlamp fuses only reached 30. Haven’t tried high beam yet. My Rover P6 series 2 had melted the headlamp fuse connector. I repaired it and the new lamps draw much less power.

Light bulbs have been great. Had previously been using a complete LED unit as an upgrade when the previous headlamp unit had broken, but never really been happy with the look or the spread of light from the complete LED unit. Replaced with Quadoptic headlamp units and the LED bulbs from the Classic Car LED bulbs and are more than happy with the quality of light. The brightness is similar to the LED unit, but now with a light beam pattern/spread that is much better and more akin with the standard, and a lighting unit that appears more standard on the car. Onlybeen using the bulb set up now for just over a week, but more than happy. Just keen to see the lifespan of the bulbs, but if they last as long as suggested, will be really happy.
