This rose came looking sickly. The leaves were yellowish in color and had spots all over them. It's been about two or three weeks now, and I have since potted them up with fertilizer and fresh soil and they are looking better and even setting new leaves. Looking forward to seeing them progress to blooming shrubs.

I purchased The Poet’s Wife from David Austin. The plant arrived healthy and I’m excited about the fragrance and color it promises once it matures. That said, the size was a real letdown — it’s very small for such a steep price. I know David Austin roses are known for their beauty, but given the cost, I expected something more established. Hopefully it grows into the rose it’s meant to be, but right now the value just doesn’t match the price tag.
