After years of Warhammer mass battle games, I eventually drifted on to smaller skirmish-sized games. Fistful of Lead has been one of my main go-to games over the last few years since we can use the ruleset for all genres. I had an itch for mass battles again, but I didn't want to commit to 100+ miniatures on a large game table. My solution was to play Fistful of Lead: Bigger Battles in 15mm. This ruleset is great because it allows one to play any genre, from fantasy to sci-fi, is miniatures agnostic, and has a quick and easy trait system that gives flavor to your units. The rules also allow for units to be made from any size, so I don't have to have hundreds of miniatures to create a unit. You can build units at any scale, multi or individually based, so you don't have to worry about compatibility with other game systems. I've only played a couple games so far, but look forward to playing many more once I build up my 15mm armies!
