High quality and great service

My experience with CAPGOWN was excellent. The regalia is of high quality, featuring the correct colors and useful pockets. Most importantly, the customer service was great: they delivered as promised and even followed up to ensure everything was perfect. After purchasing the CAPGOWN regalia, I feel no need to consider options from other stores.

As part of the MIT faculty at Commencement, I felt proud and elegant and as well dressed as any of my colleagues. I was particularly pleased with the fit of my regalia (and the fact that the cap was adjustable; I had been concerned) well made everything is. One note--with everything so very beautifully lined, it is heavier than the regalia I had rented previously. So on a hot day, be aware!

Very pleasantly surprised!

I was nervous to order from an unofficial vendor because the university commencement website made it seem like there were only 2 options for us: the ugly black $75 getup with the mortarboard or the hideously expensive custom-made Yale Blue regalia (that doesn't have pockets!). I waited until after commencement to review because I wanted to see how well the color matched the "official" blue regalia. While it was not a perfect match, it was very close! I definitely spotted some gowns on people that were noticeably too bright and stuck out. I'm very happy with my choice to order from Cap and Gown. The fabric is sturdy and everything feels well made. An exception: the button in the back of the hood for keeping it on the shoulders fell off after 1 time trying everything on and I had to sew it back on. Everything arrived within a week of ordering. I plan on recommending this company to the younger students in my program! I'd give 4.5 stars (-0.5 for the poorly attached button, just because it's not a cheap product, despite it being a much better value than the "official" version).
