Devolution (Kindle and ePub)

I enjoyed the book. Had a hard time putting it down

These books are incredible - how can I review Devolution without reviewing Meltdown and Mindscrew? You start reading one, and first thing you know, you're at the end of the third one, because you can't stop! Something that I particularly see when I read is how the author phrases things, and how his words appreciate one another. I even copy phrases or sentences to share with my email friends. One thing that hit me this time around was "No matter where you go, there you are. [Unless you're drunk out of your mind.]" "There you are" interrupted my reading and made me say "Wow - face to face with yourself - there's a whole life lesson in one throwaway remark!" And then there was "In that tiny moment, on the razor's edge of now, unencumbered by fabricated notions of future or past, [life was pretty good.]" This guy can write poetry in the middle of a shoot-em-up and torture-em spy story! These aren't the only things that made me stop to savor, but I whipped through these 3 books so fast that I can't put my finger on anything more specific at the moment. As a computer nerd, I admired and loved all 3 of his computer nerds/hackers (Make that 4 - I forgot to include the wonderful Dan, who also had a chance to flex his real muscles when he got physical on the plane!) and of course as a woman who definitely believes women *can*, I appreciate Sam. I can suspend my disbelief and read her as though I am *living* her, and I love it!

Enjoyed the book. Couldn't put it down.
