The location is not in France, -became expensive at customs!

I purchased a bracelet that was meant to arrive in time as a birthday gift, believing it would be shipped from France and therefore within the EU. Instead, it was sent from Ukraine and held in customs, which delayed delivery and significantly increased the cost, despite VAT already being paid at checkout. I feel misled by the lack of transparency and the additional charges. The company appears indifferent, and I suspect many customers continue to face the same issue. Although the bracelet was beautiful upon arrival, it broke the same day it was given, which was both embarrassing and frustrating after such a long wait and extra expense. I sincerely hope they become more transparent about their actual location, though I remain doubtful.
