A Step Backwards

I wore my khaki EDC Nextbelt almost every day for two years. Absolutely loved it. Finally started showing wear on the belt tip and fraying on the edges, so I ordered the closest replacement I could find on the website. No khaki, settled for Coyote. Too green, too much contrast to my khaki pants. Buckle has changed from metal to some composite or kydex, that is ok but cheaper. The older metal buckle has a nicely shaped rounded lever to actuate the release. The new one has a plastic rectangle that sticks out below the buckle. Seems like the belt was cost-reduced but the price remained $65. I replied to the feedback email from the CEO and got no response. I hope Nextbelt returns to its original design.
