Unisub 15.5" x 18.5" Sublimation Hardboard Sheet Stock

Quality has changed - and not for the better.

I have purchased these sublimation hardboard sheets many times over the last 2 years. The last order I received was different from those before. They warp really bad, almost to the point where I can't even use them. The are not the same thickness either, so I'm constantly having to adjust my laser settings when cutting. I'm really hoping that isn't a lasting issue and it gets resolved. I've got about 50 sheets that I can hopefully put to use. Magnets are definitely out of the question since the warp is so bad.

Product has changed

This product subs beautifully but they’ve changed how it’s made and the back of it is much more fragile. The tape rips off the back of it making it fuzzy and uneven.

Quality inconsitency between sheets

In our last order of five sheets, we found differences between sheets in both density of the fiberboard and the adhesion of the sublimation surface. Normally, our laser takes four passes to cut through a sheet, but one of the sheets in the last order is taking five passes minimum. On that same sheet, we're experiencing a lot of chipping/breakage in the white sublimation surface. As a result, when we cut shapes out of it, the edges chip off very easily. As a result, we can't use that sheet for customer product. A second sheet in the same order is taking the normal four passes to cut, and the chipping isn't quite as bad. It's usable. Very concerned going forward about the quality / consistency of the product.
