The quick release clip works as advertised, I have no problem with the operation of the clip. It was more difficult than expected getting it attached to the original helmet straps, I don't know if that is related to my sons specific helmet (fly racing) or just the way it is. It was still manageable with that being said. The only other problem "we" have is he can't release the clip on his own so the hopes of him being able to put on/off his helmet by himself came up short. For someone who has more finger strength than an eight year old it should work great.
