I'm still getting used to it. Have tried several positions on the torch w/o the hand grip. I know this device will come in handy when I get into a difficult position where using the foot pedal would be a problem. Great product!

Pistol grip same as MIG welding

Having learned stick welding and MIG welding first, my natural grip is that of a trigger. Would like the finger trigger itself to maybe be a little bit longer for the finger to apply pressure. Notwithstanding it performs exactly the way I wanted. For me, it is more natural to use my finger to control the amperage than my foot given by history with MIG welding.
