It's like hearing the brushtrokes of a master painter.
I've had the pleasure of seeing many iconic paintings up close and have been amazed at the minuscule brush strokes that, when you take a step back, make up a masterpiece. This is what the U12t IEMs do with music. I primarily use them when paired with the iBasso DX180, which makes a sublime pairing. They are absolutely addictive, very balanced sound. Treble is very distinct and demands attention in a positive way. It wakes up subtleties in recordings that have been dormant for me for decades. I'm mainly switching from the IE900s which feel like a part-time job taming the treble. The U12t will regularly make me smile when (as trite as it sounds) I hear things in recordings I've been listening to for decades that I've never heard before. The U12t allows you to listen to the performance of each performer, or mentally zoom out and listen to them all as a whole. It's like taking a bit of your favorite food, tasting each and every ingredient and then the unique harmony of them blended together for that taste that makes you go.... DAMN!

Almost perfect iem
U12t is one of those iems that doesn’t blow your mind away on first listen if you’ve listened to other excellent sets. It doesn’t have the highs of iems like the Annihilator series, the bass of Valhalla, or the mids of Diva or something like that. But it is one of those iems that you come to apreciate and love when you realize that it takes all of the qualities of iems that you would get multiple sets for and gives you most if not all of those specialization's in a small efficient package. The Bass is clean punchy and detailed its not the level of bass that a bass head would enjoy but the quality is so good it almost doesn’t matter. Some people say the mids are veiled or recessed due to the 3khz dip but in my opinion its just separating the vocals more from the mix, and since they’re so neutral already it sounds different or weird compared to most new meta or its earlier iterations, but it is clean, detailed, warm and incredibly natural sounding. The highs are probably the best part of this set. The pseudo air you get from the Tia driver if you can hear it really gives it an airy quality and serves to balance out the dip in the mids pretty well so they don’t sound too lush. The technical performance is also top notch it has easily the best imaging and separation in its price class that I’ve heard, and while it is in part due to the contrasty tuning the matter of the fact is its still good. The soundstage however is not the widest it has good depth and height it’s just missing the width which is a bit sad. Despite these excellent qualities it has one massive caveat… it’s not neutral. This iem has been described as neutral in the past. In actually this iem with the m20 and m15 modules is something closer to U maybe mildly V shaped. With the mx and m10 modules the sub bass is so rolled off that the tonality becomes a bit weird so it’s still not really neutral even then. Regardless for what your getting looking at the entire package the sound, the Iem, the comfort, and the customizability with the apex modules you really are getting as close as you possibly can to a perfect iem.

I have pair of 64 Audio u6t. These are excellent sounding IEMs. I thought they would be best IEMs. I heard so much the u12ts I just had pull the trigger. These are a cut above the u6ts. I really cannot see buying an other pair of IEMs. Price is not always an automatic improvement. They are the level of my full size headphones. Meze Lirica 11, Emperum 11. Maybe not my Focal Utopia 2023s. Sorry about the spelling on the Meze phones. 2k is not cheap. But these could be your last pair top of the line.
