Dockmaster’s Leather Key Chain

Another tool to avoid a lost key!

I ride a motorcycle with keyless ignition. It’s a great feature, but after leaving my key in several places, I needed a better solution. I selected the Dockmaster's Leather Key Chain since I was familiar with AR since I have a lot of their clothing, Since I ride in full gear, my jackets have plenty of pockets. Two of my riding jackets include external attachment points that work perfectly with this key chain. It’s functional and looks good, too. The quick release is easy to use—a gentle tug on the metal ring detaches it from the attachment point—while the screw-down D-ring on the other end keeps the keys secure. I chose the Chestnut leather because I wasn’t interested in the camo colors, and the British tan looked a bit too light. The Chestnut is already developing a nice patina from being exposed outside my jacket to rain and sun. It’s a well-made piece, and I recommend it.

My Grandpa's Keychain!

Well, it would be my grandpa's keychain if my grandpa had lived and worked somewhere on the eastern seaboard and not in Texas. The first time I held this keychain in my hand there was something familiar about it. Like a displaced family heirloom, it seemed to have showed up from another era. Everything about it, from the leather, to the color, to the hardware just speaks from time when things were built better. It literally puts a smile on my face every time I grab it from the table and head out the door. And even thoughts was not my grandpa's keychain I get the distinct feeling that this will be my grandkid's keychain. Thanks for making such well thought out and well made gear.
