I was disappointed in the amount of ink in the samples, not quite deep enough for the fountain pen to soak up enough.

This ink has such a great shimmer; it makes a great “specialty” decorative ink. The shimmer settles to the bottom when left alone, but swirl it a bit and the flakes are suspended again in no time. It would look great in a demonstrator!

I love this ink!

The title of my review sums up my feelings, but I want to add a few more details to help other potential purchasers. Most important, please be aware that I have NOT tried using this ink in a fountain pen and therefore I can't comment on whether or not it might clog some pens. I make small drawings and inspirational cards for myself and for family and friends and I have used this ink with a very small, very fine paint brush in order to draw and write. It works BEAUTIFULLY for that purpose. The color is gorgeous and so is the shimmer. Please be aware that this is a true shimmer, NOT the kind of obvious glitter that is found in some children's art supplies. I have found that in order to appreciate the shimmer most, I like to hold the card or drawing in my hands and move it gently under the light. The result is fantastic: a rich, subtle gleam that is very satisfying to see. To my delight, I have also found that this ink works well on a variety of papers. No ink works equally well on ALL kinds of papers, but this ink seems to be very "accepting" of a wide range of paper textures - at least the paper textures that I've tried! I highly, highly recommend this ink for anyone who enjoys "playing" with beautiful colors and ink "special effects."
