Ballerina® Sonatini Amaryllis

I ordered these in mid-January in Iowa during a cold spell and I was afraid they would arrive frozen solid, but they had an amazing chemical "heat pack" inside the box that kept them alive. It's February 1st now and I'm happy to see that Ballerina Sonatini has pushed up two bloom stalks already. Some amaryllis are categorized by size. The Sonatini series of amaryllis plants are the smallest at 3 inches in diameter blooms. Sonatas are bigger (5 inches)and Symphony is the biggest (7 inch blooms). I find the Sonatinis charming. The big sized flowers are great, too.

This is growing very well. I cant wait for the blooms!!!!
