Great looking skirts but shame about the sizing

Usually wear a size 16 in denim skirts in a number of brands but these skirts were a very small size 16 and did not fit. I returned them and was not offered a refund but only a voucher for the amount. As size 16 was the largest size available in the denim skirts, I have exchanged them for a couple of tops. I’m hoping these fit as it’s becoming expensive to return items that don’t fit and I’m really disappointed about the skirts.
