Wrong sizing

I purchased 2 pair of shirts, 1 a 34 waist and 1 a 36 waist. Normally I wear a 35 however neither of these shorts I can wear because they are way too big. For me to wear them they need to be altered and I can’t be bothered. Not a satisfying experience !
