Tasted poorly in comparison

I invited several neighbors to a tasting, whereby we would judge various brands of caponata. Vantia brand had the lowest score. Unanimous reason was that it was diluted with water, thereby rendering weaker tasting than the others. We tried enhancing it with tomato paste, but it still fell short. We decided it was not worth buying again.
