Performance Shifter Cables 986/987

Overall, these cables are great. Relatively easy to install, feel pretty high quality, not overly expensive compared to just replacing the OEM cables with new OEM ones. However, there were two issues with mine that were fairly minor but did require a bit of extra work to make them work properly. 1: The attached picture shows the transmission side of the longitudinal cable, where the metal sleeve came out of the bracket housing. It was very easy to tap it back into the housing, but if I hadn't noticed there was a chance it would jam the cable and prevent the shifter from moving. 2: The ball and socket joint connecting the shifter and cable does not seem to fully clip together. It feels like it gets 90 percent of the way there, but either the ball end is just too big or the socket and bushing side is just too small, causing the cable to come off the shifter with a very light nudge. The best solution I have found so far is supergluing the metal socket and plastic bushing together, and that has been working for now. These cables are great in every other aspect, I just wanted to bring light to these small issues in case anyone else is having these problems as well.

The fit and finish on these shift cables is excellent and the install was straightforward. Looking forward to seeing how they perform!
