6/4 Maple Lumber

Not Great

My order had a total of 10 four foot boards. The six 5/4 boards were okay though if I were selecting boards in person only three would have made the selection due to knots and two with wild, unattractive grain patterns that I don't associate with maple and that will be impossible to match in a panel glue-up. The 6/4 boards were very disapointing; one has a huge knot and torn-out edge (damaged) in the middle that makes it unusable for my project, as there is only 23 inches of clear board to one side of the knot and 11 inches on the other side. Only two of the four 6/4 boards are ones I would have taken if I had picked them up directly. I ordered twice as much as I needed for the project and I am not certain I have enough really nice maple to complete the project.

Rough Cut Maple

The purchase arrived promptly and required very little additional milling. I have made several purchases from KJP and never been disappointed.

48x5 6/4 rough sawn maple and walnut

Rough sawn wood was in pretty good condition. Had to do minimal milling to clean up wood. Would certainly order again
