Kia & Hyundai - 1.6T BOV Sound Plate

Works great on the 2015 Forte! For anyone confused on how to install it, you’ll need to pull your bumper off, undo the 3 bolts to the BOV, then replace this with the Lower piece of the BOV (they’re similar shape) then do it all up and throw the bumper back on, the spring isn’t needed but the cap and zip tie are for your bypass hose? (Hose connecting from intake to BOV. I believe bypass hose is what it’s called, it goes over the end on your intake, & you’re done!

Good product! I am happy with the purchase. This plate will turn heads. My recommendation in the future. Not everyone is a mechanic, providing people with some instructions would be nice. I am a Master Kia tech and for me. This install took me about 8-10 minutes. You'll have to loosen the upper bumper grill area as the stock recirc valve is conveniently placed right under the core support. 3x10mm bolts hold this in and one of then you'll need to go slower and use a wrench, the other 2 can be out in 2 seconds. Great product overall. I would love to see a dyno on this product for my own curiosity regarding any potential loss in boost pressure since we are venting to atmosphere and not back into the intake manifold. Again, product is great, easy to install. Its a head turner.

I appreciate the sound plate but the spring that came with is too stiff, so the bypass valve doesn't open at low boost. That problem makes my check engine open.. Otherwise the original spring is too soft, so the bypass valve stay open as long as airflow's passing. What can i do to solve my problem ASAP?
