Hybrid Wood Protector

I have used this formula on many projects and with a number of different wood species, both outdoors (e.g., exterior doors and railings) and indoors (interior doors and woodwork). I am not a pro, but Hybrid Wood Protector is close to foolproof, and very durable. I use “pure” for indoor projects such as cherry doors in order to preserve the color of the wood as it naturally darkens, but outdoor use usually requires pigmentation to mitigate UV damage.

We use the hybrid wood protector on a parquet deck made of Ipe wood at our home in the SF Bay Area of CA. The deck is subject to strong sun in the summer and a lot of rain in the winter. This is the second treatment and I really like the looks.

Really great product for a small outdoor white oak table I just made. Hopefully it holds up well!
