Hinoki Body Oil

Just OK.

I was expecting more from this, especially at the price point. First of all, there are not enough essential oils to mask the nutty smell of the carrier oils. The scent itself isn't really giving hinoki, either (hinoki oil is last in the ingredients list). I thought it would be more spa-like and uplifting but it has an austere, dirty, outdoorsy smell. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's not what was expected given the description and reviews (someone below even says it smells like a sauna. It definitely does not). Second, it works just ok as a moisturizer. It doesn't spread as well or last as long as long as other body oils I've tried. Overall it's just ok, but you'd do better purchasing something similar from Etsy for half the price.

Smells more like straight up cedarwood than anything else

But that is what I absolutely love about it. Cedarwood grounds me (always has) but, admittedly, I expected to smell something else based on the description. Either way, I love it and my skin feels amazing!!!

I’m so in love with this body oil! The smell is exactly as described and it’s intoxicating but in no way overpowering.
