Tapered Axe Handle Dowel Wedges

Digging thru Whiskey River I found these dowel wedges. My grandfather told me to always carry a knife and a small axe (we lived in the hills of West Virginia) so I find myself finding, restoring and hanging many hatchets. I put a dowel wedges in just this morning and must say it is really good looking. I will be adding a dowel wedge as a finishing touch from here forward.

Awesome old school method for making a more secure hang

I have always liked metal barrel wedges, but these are really awesome. I have seen these in old handles but I haven't seen anyone making them these days. Brandon and his team have hit one out of the park again with bringing back a part of axe and tool history. These work great and look just as cool if not cooler than a barrel wedge.
