Excellent Pie Irons

Ordered a dozen of these for use during our recent Scouting troop summer camp. Several of the adult leaders grew up with these and we wanted to bring that tradition to all the youth. What can I say other than they worked excellent! We made pizzas, strawberry/cherry pies, and tacos. Everything cleaned up well. Seasoning and included recipe instructions are all simple to read. Pie irons are very durable, safe, and easy to use. Great experiences with these that everyone will remember.

Great pie irons. Once I finished seasoning them, nothing sticked to the inside or outside surface and the food popped right out every time. Cleanup was a breeze. Looking forward to using them again in the near future to try out some other recipes.

Didn't know what to expect

The title says it all. I thought it was going to be a gimmicky thing that was fun for the family, but like most gimmicky things, would be a hassle to deal with... use it once, put in the corner of the garage until the next garage sale. I was very much wrong. It is a legitimate cooking tool. It's sturdy and quite honestly, it's perfect for quick, one person meals. Season it well and it's completely nonstick. I've already used it more often than my other camp cookware and when I do use my other cookware, it's right there making the dessert. Now I'm that guy who shoehorns "pudgie pies" into conversations. I guess the social stigma is a downside, but this thing is awesome and I want the world to know.
