Great compact antenna
The performance of this antenna is surprising given the size it's much smaller than I expected. Obviously it is a directional antenna and you will have some breakup if you fly behind yourself, however the performance isn't far off from my normal long pagoda and patch combo. Also it is really nice to be able to store the goggles without removing the antennas so I'm in the air faster.

Compact, robust and amazing reception.
The Pyropatch is by far my favorite antenna setup I’ve ever used on my Fatsharks (and I’ve run DOZENS of different antenna combinations). First off, the reception is amazing. It performs just as good or better than any omni/patch combination I’ve tried. The quality is very nice, well printed parts to attach to your goggles whose holes line up perfectly with no issues. The panel itself is robust, and the textured SMA connectors are very premium. Finally, my favorite part of the Pyropatch... it’s design and form factor. SMA connectors have a limited number of mating cycles. Any time you can avoid removing/re-attaching an SMA connection you absolutely should to extend it’s lifetime. The last thing I want to do is damage an SMA connection on my expensive Rapidfire module. The Pyropatch allows you to leave the connectors installed, fold the panel flat and put your goggles back in the factory case. My HDO’s easily fit into the original Fatshark zipper case with the Pyropatch installed (with room to spare). This is an AMAZING feature. Pull your goggles out of their case, plug a battery in and you’re good to go. No more screwing/unscrewing antennas every time you fly and damaging your receiver’s connectors. I love this product!

Works Great!
I switched from using an omni and a patch. The difference is what you would expect. Using the Pyropatch is exactly like having two patches. It doesn't perform any better, but the convenience factor is much higher. I never bump my antennas on anything and my Fat Shark goggles fit nicely in the stock carrying case with the Pyropatch on. Everything feels high quality and works as designed except for the plastic hex nut that is used for setting the vertical angle of the Pyropatch. The first time I tried to tighten the screw, the nut threads broke. I replaced the nut with a metal one and it works fine. However, the coax cables are rigid enough to hold the antenna at the angle I want anyways. So, it's not such a big deal. I think paying an extra ten dollars for the 3d printed mount is pricey, but $30 total for the kit is not bad compared to other antennas. I can strongly recommend this antenna if you have a diversity receiver module with two connectors on top of one another, like the Rapidfire, and if you don't plan on flying behind you.
