Healing Kit: Japanese Kintsugi Ceremony

I love that a company makes something like this. I think it's an incredibly unique and thoughtful gift for the right person. Also the pottery itself is beautiful (even more so with the gold!)

This was given to 2 friends who have gone through life changing issues, emotional and physical. The 3 of us meet as often as time allows. It is never often enough. Recently, we met to celebrate 2 birthdays. I had the beautiful box wrapped in filmy layers of pink and gold tissue. When I presented it to them there was an audible gasp accompanied with squeals of delight. We were 6 years old again and giddy with excitement. The tissue was removed, the bag extracted and the contents were revealed. More oooohs and awwwws as we uncovered each layer. When the final layer was exposed my friends were trilled to discover the buried treasure. Both of these friends are talented artists. One is also Japanese. She is knowledgeable about Kintsugi already. Both friends are excited to set aside a day of healing, beauty, tradition and ceremony. This is an excellent meaningful gift with profound significance. It made them very happy and in turn made me happy.

Something good happened with in me after my first time with Life Honey and going through their golden mediation as I was mending the ceramic bowl with gold powder. All these emotions came rushing to the surface. Not the usual tears, but rage. My mending process represented my past love relationships and how they all took advantage of me. But, In this process alone helped me understand their choices were their own, and my decision were also my own. Kintsugi practice is new to me and yet Life Honey changed my life forever. It gave me hope again.
