Finally got it on

I have a R1250 GS. The support bar on the exhaust side that goes to the passenger foot peg is a problem. It could be fixed by a jog in the support bar so there is enough clearance to reattach the exhaust support bolt. If the exhaust ever has to be removed or replaced the Pannier rack would have to be removed The trick shown in the video from Outback Moto, to loosen the hard to reach footpeg post, is not practical as there is no way to create enough torque to loosen the passenger foot peg bolt that has thread lock on it. I think I probably stripped the Torx head on that bolt trying the method provided in the video. Other than that if it doesn’t fall off I am happy. I do really like the Alpine 30L panniers. Very cool.

2024 BMW R1300GS - Solid frame! Easy mounting!

After selling my 2014 GS Beemer, needed a new pannier rack for my Mosko 35L bags. A little hesitant at first but after 4 years using and abusing Mosko gear and soft luggage, I felt confident they would only sell quality frames for their panniers. Checked out the crash testing on the Outback Motortek's website and could see why Mosko choose their frames to mount their bags. Intense testing! Don't intend to drop my purdy new 1300 but believe these frames would take the occasional hits and not flinch. They were fast delivery (7 days) and super easy to install (60 min including removing original BMW OEM electronic bag mounts). One mounting bracket hole was a little off but didn't need any hammering or return. And, best of both worlds, my old, Touratech ZEGA EVO hard boxes fit exactly into the frame with no slop or finagling. Won't go back to the hard cases but was nice to know these would also work. Great pannier frames! No regrets.
