Nexus Infernum

Great combination of resource management and combat set in a dark world

I first heard of Archon Studios when a friend in my boardgame group introduced us to a game called Eschaton. It was such a fun game that I looked up the website and saw Nexus Infernum. I bought it on the spot and recently introduced it to my group. We love the dark theme and the art. The directions were very simple, it was only about a ten minute teach. Each game took us around an hour, so it is a shorter very enjoyable game. One of my favorite things about it is how each token of energy can be used in other actions. The quality is really good and sturdy, the art is very dark and thematic, the rulebook is easy to understand and the core of the game did not disappoint. I recently ordered my own copy of Eschaton with the expansions. Very enjoyable and unique with tons of replayability. Easy to set up and break down and easy to teach. Very impressed with this game.

Fun Competitive Game My friends and I played this last night and had a good time. Set up was fairly simple. We enjoyed the chance of putting arcane energy on the board, which led to different strategies. Overall a fun experience and one that I will be returning to many times.

I regularly play board games with friends, and Nexus Infernum has been a fantastic addition to my board game collection. Many of my friends enjoy horror and occult, so the style and appearance of this game immediately drew a crowd. Even those who were less into the occult theme were sucked in by the variety of strategies and approaches to victory that this game provides. I've hosted this game at multiple open game nights, and I've never had anyone who played it once and didn't want to play again.
