I love convertible mittens and have been loving for a good pattern. I can use my fingers if needed but this keeps them toasty and warm otherwise. I recommend lining with fleece for extra warmth.

Convertible Mittens

This convertible knitting pattern is really handy- you don’t have to take your mittens totally off when you want to text. All you do is turn down one of the upper parts, and your fingers are exposed. Then when you are done, turn it back up and your fingers are warm and toasty again. This mitten would make a good gift for the majority of people as so many people have Smart Phones now, and I am sure they would appreciate them greatly!
