Koyudo Eyeshadow Brush Y-4, Yoshiki Series

This is my first time buying a Fude brush and I must say it’s very beautiful and well crafted. I’m excited to get more!

Good sized pencil brush

This is a medium sized pencil brush that is quite firm with some flexibility to the tip. It is good for lining, and inner or outer corner work. Too firm for much blending work, but the firmness helps its usability with creams or liquids.

Very Nice!

This is a great mid-sized pencil brush to have. It's extremely close in size to the Chikuhodo Z-10, except that the Z-10 tapers to a sharper point. Since this is densely-packed Saikoho rather than squirrel, it doesn't do the blending for you like the Z-10 will. The bristles don't splay out any wider than the ferrule with normal pressure. It will put the product exactly where you want it and nowhere else. It does take some more effort to blend out darker shades applied with this brush, which is why for dark colors I prefer the diffused edges I get with the Z-10. Both brushes lay down just as much pigment when using a matte shadow; where the Y-4 outperforms the Z-10 is with satin/shimmer/sparkly shades. It deposits more of the sheen. Once I figured out that difference, this became my go-to brush for highlight shades. Love it.
