It is made of the same leather as Japanese beef JB glove. The weight is twice as large as the usual hard ball. Japanese beef JB grabs. It is possible to make pocket firmly by catching it while putting on the pocket where you want to make it. It is also available as a wrist reinforcement training ball.
This is my 8th Wagyu-JB glove, not all purchased directly from manufacturer. To be honest, the leather was less well-finished with less tight pores and natural tackiness than previous purchases- the texture was more that of the less expensive "Natural" line. The heel lacing was too tight, exposing the underlying white padding and likely leading to bubbles in the heel once broken in. Honestly, this isn't up to the same standard as prior purchases, and looks like it was crafted by an apprentice rather than a master glove craftsman. I was really looking forward to this glove, and frankly, I'm a little disappointed. I expect perfect at this price point from this manufacturer, and instead the glove is merely pretty good. Not worth returning, but not exactly worth buying again.
