Buckwheat Pillow – Signature Edition

It was time for a new pillow and I realized I needed to make a choice: buy yet another foam or polyfill pillow that's a derivative of every other pillow I've ever owned, or try something new. Hello, PineTales! So far, I'm really enjoying this buckwheat hull pillow. I'm a side/stomach sleeper and took about half the hulls out upon arrival. I find myself moving around and readjusting during the night much less than I did with my previous (nice!) foam pillow. I actually like the 14x20" size; I never would have thought about using a smaller pillow until I was given the option, but it's really nice, actually. Every pillow vaguely smells like *something*; this one is vaguely earthy instead of vaguely artificial. It was a good spot of money to chance on something without a return policy (for which I'm glad, honestly) and I think it was a good choice for me.

The Classic Edition doesn't include a pillowcase, so you’ll need to use your own. It doesn't feel like a normal pillow. It’s filled with natural hulls that mold to your neck and lock in place. It feels very firm but incredibly supportive, and because of the airflow, it stays completely cool all night. The trick is that you have to customize it. It was way too high for me on night one, so I unzipped it and scooped out a few cups of the filling. Now, it perfectly fits my neck.

I’ve really been enjoying this Classic Style Premium Edition Buckwheat Pillow. I like that it comes overfilled so that you can adjust the amount of filling to your comfort level. I prefer flatter pillows, so I removed more than half of the buckwheat hulls and customized it to what worked best for me. I mainly use it for hip and leg support while sleeping. This version doesn’t come with a pillowcase, so I used so I used one I already had at home. Overall, I’ve been really happy with it.
