Explorer Hat
Outstanding ! Easily secured during windy conditions (adjust strap to hold firm on front or back). Sweat band kept hat dry and comfortable all day. Brim width provided ample protection during bright sunny days.

Stays on while protecting my head
Easy to shop - hadn't realized I wanted/needed it until I saw the picture! So nice to put it on and tighten the string so that the wind doesn't blow it off my head! I have very sensitive skin and getting sun burns on my scalp are terrible.

This Hat is Good Hat
I originally ordered the "Men's Wide Brim Field Hat." That was after much research. However, the size was much larger than what was listed in the description. My hat size is 23.5 inches, well within the average sizing range of that model. So, I returned it and received the smaller size in exchange.
That size was near perfect. However, I noticed that the crown height of the hat was way too high for me and my head, an issue that I did not notice with the larger size. In the correct size, it was more obvious and noticeable.
So, the customer service person I spoke to on the phone ( who was great!!) suggested I try the "Explorer" model hat before giving up, and so I accepted receiving that model.
The crown height of the "Explorer" hat was much better for me. However, I still would have preferred the style, use and general fit of the "Field" hat, if the crown was a bit shorter!
I guess I will keep the "Explorer" hat as an imperfect solution. If the Company could have adjusted the crown height of the "Field" Hat, I would have preferred that model hat.
A couple of points on my experience. First, the products sold by UV Skinz are all well made. However, the average sizing of some models are not very accurate in terms of the circumference fitting. Perhaps the crown height sizing should also be emphasized somehow. Second, the return policy of UV Skinz is outstanding and is appreciated. Third, the customer service people at UV Skinz are terrific. I only wish is that I could have gotten what I originally wanted!
