Very little sanding or grinding needed on the ramp of the gides before wrapping them to the rod blanks. The #10 is a great first guide when building a 36" Icefishing rod

If you purchase one of the fiberglass 36-inch rods, this tip top will allow you to add a layer of thread wrap at the tip of the blank before using the tip top adhesive/glue
