Dryer Balls

In the strangest places!

My daughter used dryer balls after researching why perfumed dryer sheets are not good to use drying clothes. I found these after vacationing and were much more reasonable than hers so I bought them. I really do like them and recently added three more totaling 6 when drying my clothes. I just didn’t think 3 in a large batch of clothes helped to knock out wrinkles. Always makes me laugh that get stuck inside sleeves of jackets or anything with long sleeves. Unfortunately they are advertised as helping with static electricity, but hasn’t been the case. However, I won’t go back to the dryer sheets. I did try adding a few drops of essential oils to the balls and wasn’t sure I liked that. It definitely stains the balls and wasn’t real fond of the strong lavender scent I used. Perhaps it’s because we haven’t used scented anything for a very long time. One thing to watch for is they can be pulled out with clothes, sheets etcetera and end up on the ground and roll away. Lol All-in-all I do like these balls and now that I’ve added three more balls to my laundry, they really help bounce out the wrinkles and I do like these and price point for them. Lastly they say they’re good for 1,000 loads but no one counts so you replace when they look super fuzzy. I had to email and ask when to replace. :blush: These must be a good price since a lot of times they are ‘out of stock’.

Amazing but…

I love the idea of using wool balls in lieu of poisonous fabric softeners but… I live in a very dry climate and a bit more anti static help is necessary. I’ve thought about adding a little vinegar to boost the anti static power. Also, they make a lot of clunking noise. Summertime is here but it’s still 25% humidity outside, which is odd. I’m determined to make this work, for my family’s sake:)
