Great, but sizing wasn’t easy.

It took me three tries to get the sizing right on these sandals, which has more to do with Birkenstock sizing than Tip Top. The price was competitive. They arrived quickly. I normally wear a women’s 9 1/2 wide (40) in most shoes. I ended up purchasing a 38, which is a women’s 7-7.5. I haven’t worn that size since 6th grade. They fit well though, so I’m ignoring the number. They run large. Order down, even if you have wide feet.

Wonderful, but alas, too big!

I ordered the above Birkenstock sandal in the size recommended, but it is too big. The pair is on it’s way back to TipTop Shoes to be exchanged for the next smaller size. I have worn an Arizona sandal for probably 30 years with no sign of wear. I love this sandal for many reasons. The first and most important reason is that the footbed is so stable. My summer home is a little cabin on an island and the ground is rocky and uneven. I’ve never twisted an ankle wearing my Birkenstocks.
