Another great strategy wargame from DVG

For anybody thats interested in mostly unknown WW2 battlesand strategy wargame, Castle Itter will be right up your alley. I also own Pavlov’s house and Lanzerath ridge and they all play in a similar fashion. You make you move, play cards for the germans and react to the situation. Although the core mechanics are similar, the strategy is different in every game. For exemple german defenders will flee the battle if another german troop is killed in their area unless a german officer is present. You can control a tank to supress or attack the attackers. In Castle itter you will lead a mixed team of americans, germans and french civilians and try to survive long enough to be rescued by the allies. I still think Pavlov’s house is the superior game but it does not take anything away from Castle itter being a great game.

Better than expected!

I had heard positive things about this game and I am not disappointed. Challenging game with lots of replayability. I also love the artwork and layout of the game. Shoutout to Board Game Bliss for an exceptional shopping experience. Thank you!
