Efficiency = more cut
I use this to modify my Rupes dual action polishers. The backing plate tends to rub against the protective rubber shroud. This causes unwanted heat. By using this washer the polisher runs cooler and more efficient. Also, this modification causes less pad stall which transfers to more cut! Less passes to get same cut will alleviate the overworking of the clear coat
