Model 164 Snowshoe - QuickFit Binding/Deep Cleat

First time with 25”. Usually use 30’s. Easier to break trail. Quality of the 164 is good and binding is good

My last snowshoes were Atlas

They lasted over a decade but finally the plastic binding came apart after heavy daily use. The 164 doesn't appear to use plastic and they seem well built. It is taking a bit to get used to the loose heel flapping when you walk. My old Atlas tied the heel down and worked very nicely. I am not sure I like the loose heel feature in the 164s with the shoe slapping the boot with each step. I wouldn't buy those again for that reason. Maybe I will change my mind after a season using them.
