Maramataka Journal – Whiro (Customisable)

Brought these for a gift for our teacher aide, very excited for her to learn and use!

This journal is a really helpful addition to other Maramataka resources from Tuhi. I recommend that card set and the wall chart to go along with it. Once you begin down the path of seeking to understand the Maramataka these three tools are a really helpful guide in making knowledge a living part of your life. The cards and the wall chart provide the flow and cycle, and the journal is designed for us to record our personal experiences within this framework. It primarily allows you to do this over one cycle, but I get the feeling I will want to run one of these journals at least once each season in order to record personal experiences for comparisons of similarity and difference through the lens of seasons and years. I began by using my diary for this, but the journal permits a more focussed record.

I am so pleased I purchased my Whiro. Rather than cluttering my Rataka I can separate my thoughts, activities and observations much easier. Perfect size and challenges me to learn more Maori. Nga mihi. Sandra
