Striking pendant with tiny chain

I love the pendant but was let down by the chain. It's thin, short and just silly looking, as it sits in the crease of your neck, not below in a more flattering position. I won't be wearing the necklace until I buy a new chain. I should have paid closer attention to the pictures with the model showing this.
