The D'Addario Natural Dark rosin I found that the sound created was scratchy on a majority of strings probably due to the lack of grip felt from using this rosin. Would be suitable for entry level /beginner student for accessable price range. Tested on Violin, Viola & Cello for a highschool science project using basic student entry level instrument, strings & bows.
