Killer P90 tone!

My new favorite pickups from Kurtis! Crazy mash up of a classic single coil jazzmaster tone and a traditional P90 pickup without all the noise. My jazzmaster has never sounded better!

You can notice that the pickups were treated with high attention to detail .From the materials used in the pickups to the really cool packaging. The Ristrettos are a low output that cut through any mix with ease. They are super clean, but take overdrive really well. If you are reading this i highly recommend these pickups!

New better tones in my thinline tele

Great communication from order date. Ristrettos in black arrived in scheduled time frame. Replaced a mismatch output set of Duncan sd90 and gfs goldfoil. The tones out of the Ristrettos are more pure and have plenty of power and single coil sound. I notice on multiple delay settings I can more clearly hear repeats, which makes the 1/4 dotted 1/8 thing easier to play with. I hear more "air" to the tone and definitely cuts through the mix better than stock or several other sets I've tried. LP 4 knob is my setup with 500k pots, PIO caps. Since these are true single coils there is some noise as all singles have, but they cut so well I could turn some of the gain settings on Helix down and gate up to compensate, quieter than my stock strat pups. Bridge more crunchy than I thought it would be and neck is warmer. The both on hum cancelling position is my go to rhythm sound, full range clean signal with no noticeable hum there. Use bridge or neck on. Big choruses or leads , I go back to both for quieter long trailing reverb and delay to avoid hum on hanging diamond chords. If you want new p90 pickups these are great, just make sure your rig and playing skills are up to hearing yourself more, for better or worse. It has made me have to play with better technique because I can totally hear when I don't now. Buy these if you are after modern worship tones or just want to have a more HD signal from your p90 guitar.
