Schumann: Symphony No. 3 "Rhenish" - Leonard Bernstein Conducts the New York Philharmonic

A very satisfying performance

This performance was recommended to me. I generally like Bernstein's performances, particularly his earlier interpretations. I find many of his later recordings lack the freshness and spontaneity of his earlier years. To me this has a bit of a "choppy" start but settles down into a very satisfying performance. The transfer is very good.
