In the 1980s, I was a Henry Weinhard's Dark fan. Since giving up alcohol (and smoking) 40 years ago, I never thought that I would enjoy beer again. From my home in California, I made a jump to Oregon in 1995. If Portland was once called 'Stumptown', than I am in the right 'mindspace' to be enjoying a chocolaty-toasty dark beer called Stump Jump! Delicious for a brown ale which is one of my favorite styles. I do wish it had slightly more body, thicker mouthfeel. Even if it’s at the expense of a few additional calories. This is still one of my athletic go-to’s though.
