I purchased a 12-day “unlimited data” eSIM from Holafly for my trip to Vietnam, and it was a terrible experience. Despite being connected to the same local network as my family (who were using different eSIMs), my connection constantly dropped between 5G and 3G—even though my phone was set to 5G only. For roughly half of my trip, the data was either extremely slow or completely unusable. The only temporary fix was restarting my phone multiple times a day, which is unacceptable for a paid service. To rule out any issues with my device, I followed all of Holafly’s setup instructions and even documented my settings. I then purchased a local data plan from Vinaphone, which worked perfectly immediately—no dropouts, no slow speeds. This clearly shows the issue was with Holafly’s service, not my phone. Reliable data is critical when travelling, especially to stay in contact with family. Holafly failed to deliver the service I paid for. I strongly recommend avoiding Holafly.

I have used Holafly esim in Vietnam, China, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong and has worked well each time
