I didn't realise that thigh high no it's would stick at the top making them hard to dance in but that is no fault of the boots. The heals are quite comfy and the look amazing.

These are my first pair of boots like these and I'm pleasantly surprised! Good quality, comfortable all things considered, and I look and feel badass! Lots of compliments on these.
