When Fedex dilivered the package, my heart sank for the cardboard was aoaked. The inside box was wer. But the inside packaging saved the day. The voard was wrapped in plastic as well as the individual pieces and storage box. Everything was saved. This set is absolutely beautiful in every way. The weight of the pieces is perfect as well as the carving. I just love this set!!!

The hand-carved and burnt chess pieces are beautiful. The chess board is of the highest quality level. Well worth the price paid. Really a great deal for this level of quality. I would compare this set to others that I have seen that cost much, much more !!
